beIT - more than just IT recruitment

Ever interviewed someone and taken them on based on Gut Feeling? Probably. Most people are never trained how to interview. Were you right? Often Gut Feeling is right. Sometimes it isn’t. How much does it cost to get it wrong? Costs for hiring the wrong person are estimated at between £5,000 and £25,000 – but it could be worse than that.

Not only can hiring the wrong person be detrimental internally to staff morale, inability to meet the business demands / sales targets etc, but with constant changes in employment and human rights legisation – you can be sued if someone thinks you have unfairly discriminated against them either with your advertising or interviewing – or at any point of the recruitment process. You have to be able to prove you did not. Therefore you need a robust system in place which does not rely on GUT FEELING as the core of the process.

Thats where our copyright behavioural interviewing system – IBIS (c) comes in. The system protects you against mischievious or genuine claims of discrimination and ensures you have the best possible chance of recruiting the people you need to grow your business / team and make it the success you deserve it to be. We use IBIS internally to recruit for our clients (and we now offer it as a half day or one day training course to our clients).

Our MD, Carole Fossey, heads up the IT division and wrote the IBIS system when she was Regional Manager of Computer Futures. She has 18 years recruitment experience (internal and agency) and the last 12 years of that running IT recruitment teams and companies. She works with huge names in the IT world and large local businesses in the North, as well as fledgling IT companies who need to employ the right people from day 1.

She recruited into all aspects of IT, but especially support, development, Project and IT Managers, Business Analysts, and she was the first person to our knowledge in the North of England to begin recruiting internet staff back in the mid 90’s. Carole is still hands on in the business and will either work on / superivise the recruitment process for your IT requirements.
